The ability to understand through imagination into the thoughts or feelings of another person. Authors have a very good way to show empathy in there writing. The author Deborah Ellis shows many different empathy examples in her Writing. When I Was reading the book The Breadwinner i felt empathy on many different parts.
Another way a writer can create empathy is describing the situation and feelings well. Whenever I feel empathy from a book, it's usually because it is a very well written book. The writing has to be descriptive so the reader can fully understand it and picture it in their mind. For example, when Parvana's father came home, Deborah Ellis described Parvana's emotion on how she felt about her Father who is coming home. She used lots of description, and I could imagine what Parvana was feeling because of how many adjectives and adverbs she used.
So finally I think empathy is always going to be in books no matter what book or passage it is in. Weather it is in a book, magazine, or comic book feelings in books are always going to be there.Empathy is everywhere all you need to do is look. Empathy is a great way to make your book interesting so whenever you are writing you should always try to add feelings and emotions to your book.
This is very well written Alex. There are a few spelling errors in the post, so make sure you read through your blog many times to be sure that there are no errors. When you are writing your blog, be sur to not have any run on sentences. I agree with you that Deborah Ellis is very good at making the reader feel mempathy. Keep up the great work Alex!!
ReplyDeleteAlex I think you did a great job. Nice job giving the example of the breadwinner. You definately used great examples that helped the reader feel and understand what empathy is. Not only

good work
Alex, I really like your post because it has a lot of detail in it and it is very interesting. I like the way you use examples from the book in your writing but most importantly you explain your examples so the reader can relate to what you are writing. One thing you should do is make it a little bit longer so if the reader finds it interesting they can keep reading. Overall great post and I can't wait to read your next one.
