Does clothing shape who you are? I think there are many different ways to look at this question. You can always tell who a person is simply by the shirt on their back. If someone is wearing bright green pants and a highlighter pink shirt, you can always tell they are an exciting, fun person who doesn't care about what other people think. If you are walking in the mall and you see a little boy with Abercrombie pants, hat, shirt and even Abercrombie cologne that means they care about what people think about them and want to look better than everyone else.
If you go into a job interview, you always want to look good. I don't really know because I'm 12, but still you should. Schools have a lot of bullying because some kids cant afford all the name brands like other kids can and sometimes they are made fun of by what they wear. kids should not care about what they wear, how they look and what brand names they have (exept me because i have to look good haha). To answer the question: no, i dont think clothing shapes who you are.

Alex, you blog is amazing. Firstly your blog has many good points. Secondly I agree with you. Thirdly, I tire to look best with clothes. Some points that are really good in your blog are having to wear nice clothes to an interview, they certainly would not hire you if you were full of piercings. I also agree with your points, like people try to express your feelings with clothes and not everybody can afford the latest trends. I try to wear nice clothes, and I'll even admit it that I follow the latest trends. In summary your blog has great points, I agree with you and I try to look the best with clothes. This is why your blog is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog it makes alot of sense. I agree clothing does not shape who you are. you used very descripted sentences and showed a great understanding of social activity. I thin k you did a greaqt job but you could have built up on the job inteview idea a bit more. Be.sides that great job

ReplyDeleteThis is a good first post Alex. You have used some good examples to prove a point. I'm a little unsure which side of the argument you have taken. Your examples and the majority of your post points to clothing shaping what other people think of you, yet your concluding sentence says you don't think clothing shapes who you are. Be sure to re-read your posts to make sure that what you are trying to say is written clearly.
